life: a journey to death

She said,"Be a better you than the you of yesterday"
and then she died..
A lesser her, than the her of yesterday..
so he carved her heart and gave his child,
for the child had a heart with a hole..
He imagined her kidney, liver, heart like gold
played a grander role..

She betters lives a new, he thought
A lesser death, to a greater still.
Yet the undertaker felt no better
For there she lay.. in a pool of blood..
heart in his hand..
There she lay.. murdered..
his lover..
killed by his own hand!!

He was a lesser man than, the man of yesteryear,
a lesser man he was, a killer in the mist..
So he sold his heart for a son,
his killing was not yet done.
my love, she was gold, he said
I sold my soul and now she's dead.
Through her death his life begotten
she naught shall be forgotten.

All this blood and gore
Would pay his son in gold and more
Tears ran down, as he thought of his boy
given years of life.. oh tear of joy
His deeds so sinister all for a minister
Now he longed for his son
When his spree was done..

but Wait!
T'was all in his head!
For his son was dead!!
a year ago since!
